EXPERIENCES CREATED BY FIVE SENSES

Sauna & Rituals

Sauna rituals are the heart of our offering.

We use heat, cold, aromas, touch, herbs, and air to create experiences inspired by sauna traditions from around the world.

Each ritual takes place exclusively for one person, a couple, or a maximum of three participants. This allows us to work individually and take care of every detail of the experience.

This is a completely different approach than classic sauna use. More personal, more engaging, and decidedly deeper.

Heat–Cold Contrast Ritual

Fire and ice. Heat and cold. Relaxation and stimulation. This original ritual is based on the conscious interplay of contrasting stimuli that invigorate the body, improve circulation, and deliver exceptionally intense sensations.

The ceremony begins with gradual warming of the body accompanied by fresh, menthol, and citrus aromas. At the climax of the ritual, a technique inspired by the traditional Chinese Huo Liao method of working with fire is used. Controlled flames appearing above the surface of the body create an extremely spectacular visual effect while providing deep and intense warming of the muscles.

After fire comes the time for contrast. Chilled stones, icy accents, and refreshing aromas bring an immediate feeling of freshness and invigoration. The body goes through the full spectrum of thermal sensations, leaving behind a feeling of lightness, energy, and exceptional regeneration.

For whom? For those seeking strong impressions, extraordinary experiences, and a ritual that stays in memory for a long time.

Herbal Ritual

The scent of fresh herbs, the warmth of the sauna, and hand-prepared bundles create an experience that engages all the senses. This is an original ritual inspired by nature, ancient herbal traditions, and a ceremonial approach to rest.

During the ritual, the sauna space gradually fills with the aroma of herbs, hydrosols, and natural infusions. A special element of the ceremony is the use of hay heated over the stove, which releases a characteristic, soothing scent of a summer meadow. In subsequent stages, warm hay compresses and heated herbal bundles prepared by participants from selected plant compositions are also used.

The whole is complemented by elements of aromatherapy and ceremonial smudging, creating an exceptional experience of tranquility, connection with nature, and deep relaxation.

For whom? For those seeking a peaceful, multi-sensory ritual that allows them to disconnect from everyday life and immerse themselves in the world of natural aromas.

Original Air Massage

Can you feel a massage without touch?
The Five Senses Original Air Massage proves that you can. This is an extremely rare sauna experience in which the main working tool is a properly directed wave of warm air.

During the ritual, the sauna master uses various fanning techniques and specialized accessories to direct the temperature exactly where it is needed. Gentle waves of heat pass through the body like invisible hands, gradually releasing tension and inducing a state of deep relaxation.

In subsequent stages of the ritual, the intensity of sensations changes — from subtle envelopment in warmth, through dynamic air movements, to precise, targeted action on selected parts of the body. The whole is enriched with natural aromas and a unique atmosphere of complete focus and tranquility.

This is one of the most unexpected rituals in our offering. It surprises, relaxes, and allows you to discover a completely new face of sauna bathing.

For whom? For those seeking exceptional experiences and those who want to feel the sauna in a way they have probably never experienced before.

Purification Ritual

The warmth of the sauna, natural olive soap, and a ritual full-body scrub create an experience inspired by the traditions of ancient bathhouses. This is more than a care treatment — it is a moment of pause during which the skin regains freshness and the body lightness.

After warming the body, the sauna master performs a thorough scrub using a special glove and natural care ingredients. Rhythmic movements cleanse, stimulate circulation, and leave the skin smooth and pleasantly refreshed.

The ritual ends with a moment of tranquility in the warm sauna space, allowing you to fully feel the effect of renewal.

For whom? For those who want to take care of their skin, feel the lightness of the body, and combine care with deep relaxation.

    SAUNA CULTURE

A few simple rules for the comfort of all guests

The sauna is a space of regeneration, tranquility, and mutual respect. Following a few simple rules allows everyone to fully enjoy the benefits of sauna bathing and creates a pleasant atmosphere for all participants.

Shower before and after the sauna

Before entering the sauna, take a thorough shower and dry your body completely. After finishing the session, cool down your body and shower again. This is the foundation of hygiene and comfort in shared sauna bathing.

The sauna is a textile-free zone

We use the sauna without swimwear. For comfort and hygiene, the body should be wrapped in a towel or sheet. This allows the skin to breathe freely and the body to respond more effectively to the heat.

    Entire body on the towel

When using the sauna, sit or lie down so that every part of your body is in contact only with the towel. Feet, back, and legs should also be on its surface. This is an important rule of sauna hygiene.

    Listen to your body

There is no single ideal time to spend in the sauna. Use it in accordance with your own feelings and well-being. If you feel discomfort or fatigue, end the session and proceed to cooling down and rest.

    Phone-free zone

The sauna is a place to rest from everyday stimuli. Please leave your phones outside the sauna area. This allows everyone to fully focus on relaxation, and the privacy of all guests is preserved.

Respect the silence and atmosphere of the place

Many guests visit the sauna to rest from noise and daily rush. Conversations should be kept to a minimum, leaving space for tranquility and regeneration.

    Q&A

What are the benefits of regular sauna bathing?

Regular sauna use supports body regeneration, improves circulation, helps relax tense muscles, and supports the body’s natural cleansing processes. For many people, the sauna is also an effective way to reduce stress, improve sleep quality, and build immunity. It is a moment when the body can rest and the mind can slow down.

What do sauna sessions look like?

Sauna sessions at Five Senses are ceremonies led by a sauna master, during which the sauna transforms into a space full of aromas, music, and consciously built atmosphere. The whole typically lasts up to 15 minutes.

Each session has its own character and scenario. Appropriately selected scent compositions, music, and techniques of working with towels and air create an experience that engages all the senses. Depending on the session theme, you can experience deep relaxation, energizing stimulation, or intense contact with nature and aromatherapy.

How to prepare for sauna bathing?

Before entering the sauna, it is advisable to eat a light meal and ensure proper hydration. Immediately before the session, take a shower and thoroughly dry your body. This allows the body to begin the thermoregulation process more quickly, and sauna use will be more comfortable.

What to bring to the sauna?

It is best to prepare two towels – one for using the sauna, the other for drying the body after the shower. Flip-flops and a bottle of water, tomato juice, or beet juice will also be useful.

If you do not have your own towels, no worries – you can conveniently rent them on-site.

What to do after leaving the sauna?

Properly ending a sauna session is as important as the sauna stay itself. After leaving, first rinse off the sweat with warm water, and only then gradually cool the body with cool or cold water, starting from the feet and moving upward.

After cooling down, it is worth taking a moment to rest and replenish fluids. It is accepted that regeneration should last at least as long as the sauna session. It is during rest that the body utilizes the full benefits of sauna bathing.

How do sauna rituals differ from classic sessions?

Classic sauna sessions take place in a group and are led by a sauna master for all participants simultaneously. Five Senses sauna rituals, on the other hand, are intimate, individual experiences performed for one, two, or a maximum of three people.

They combine aromatherapy, body care, work with temperature, and original sauna master techniques, creating exceptional experiences that you will not find in traditional saunas.

Are there any contraindications to sauna bathing?

The sauna should not be used by people with acute infections, fever, and certain cardiovascular conditions. In the case of chronic diseases, pregnancy, or health concerns, it is advisable to consult a doctor beforehand.

If you are not sure whether the sauna is right for you, we will be happy to help dispel basic doubts before your visit.
